Hybrid apps are a blend between native apps and web based solutions. These apps are written on web based technologies like HTML, CSS and Javascript which are then put in a native app shell. Since these apps are written in web technologies hence allow the ability for code reuse depending upon the app platform which is iOS or Android. Also, they are cheaper to build and maintain than their native counterparts and hence are preferred by small to medium enterprises.
